Nichiren Daishonin states in “Recorded Lectures”:

Now is the time of the Latter Day of the Law, when one can attain Buddhahood by propagating the seven characters of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, and enable others to receive benefit from the Buddha. Thus, if one mixes the practice of chanting the Daimoku with other practices, it will be a deviation from the correct path. This is the time for one to embrace this great mandala of Myoho-Renge-Kyo, engrave it in one’s heart, and chant the Daimoku aloud.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《御讲闻书》曰:

今末法乃弘通南无妙法莲华经之七字，而有利生得益之时也。故若于此题目混杂余事，则成僻事。当以身持，心念，口唱此妙法之大曼荼罗之时也。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “The True Entity of Life”:

Only I, Nichiren, at first chanted Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, but then two, three and a hundred followers, started chanting and teaching others. Likewise, propagation will unfold, this way in the future. Doesn’t this signify “emerging from the earth?”

宗祖日莲大圣人于《诸法实相抄》曰:

日莲一人首唱南无妙法莲华经，继而二人，三人，百人次第传唱之。未来亦然。此岂非地涌之义乎。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “Teaching, Practising and Proof”:

The five characters of Myoho-Renge-Kyo, the heart of the essential teaching of the Lotus Sutra, contain all the benefits amassed by the beneficial practices and meritorious deeds of all the Buddhas throughout the past, present and future.

此法华经本门肝心之妙法莲华经，乃集三世诸佛万行万善之功德为五字。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “How Those Initially Aspiring to the Way Can Attain Buddhahood through the Lotus Sutra”:

One should by all means persist in preaching the Lotus Sutra, thus causing others to hear it. Those who put their faith in it will surely attain Buddhahood, while those who slander it will establish a “poison-drum relationship” with it and will likewise attain Buddhahood.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《法华初心成佛抄》曰:

总之，须强说法华经使其听闻。信者可成佛，谤者成毒鼓之缘，亦可成佛也。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “The True Object of Worship”:

At that time, the bodhisattva of the earth will emerge. Then, he will establish the supreme object of worship of the entire world in this country, with Shakyamuni of the essential teaching playing a subordinate role. This Gohonzon has never before been in existence, either in India or China.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《观心本尊抄》曰:

此时地涌千界出现，以本门释尊为胁士，当于此国，立一阎浮提第一之本尊，月支，震旦未有此本尊。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “Reply to the Wife of Lord Ueno”:

The Lotus Sutra states, “Among those who hear this Law, there is not one who shall not attain enlightenment.” This passage means that if there are a hundred or even a thousand people who embrace this sutra, all will become Buddhas without exception.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《上野尼御前御返事》曰:

经云 “若有闻法者，无一不成佛” 云云。文意乃谓持此经之人，百人则百人，千人则千人，一人不漏皆成佛之文也。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “Opening of the Eyes”:

Although I, Nichiren, and my disciples may face various difficulties, we will attain Buddhahood as a matter of course, as long as we do not harbor doubts [about the teaching of the Lotus Sutra]. Do not doubt that the heavens will protect you. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life. Though I have taught this to my disciples day and night, many of them, raising doubts, abandon their faith [in the Lotus Sutra]. Those with weak faith always forget what they have promised when the crucial moment comes.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《开目抄》曰:

我及我弟子，虽有诸难，若无疑心，自然得至佛界。勿疑天无加护，莫叹现世不安稳，虽朝夕教我弟子，皆生疑弃舍。愚人之习，约定之事，忘于关键之时。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Recorded Lectures”:

Ultimately, the vow to save innumerable living beings is the most essential of the four universal vows. Now, the disciples and followers of Nichiren, fundamentally seek only to save all people by none other than Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《御讲闻书》曰:

总之，四弘誓愿中，众生无边誓愿度，乃肝要也。今日莲等类，以南无妙法莲华经度众生，此外无他也。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Selection of the Time”:

Therefore I say to you, my disciples try practising as the Lotus Sutra teaches, exerting yourselves without begrudging your lives! Test the truth of Buddhism!

宗祖日莲大圣人于《撰时抄》曰:

然则，我弟子等当试之，如法华经不惜身命修行，当试佛法矣。

Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon”:

A woman who devotes herself to the Gohonzon invites happiness in this life; and in the next, the Gohonzon will be with her and protect her always. Like a lantern in the dark, like a strong supporting arm on a treacherous path, the Gohonzon will protect you, Lady Nichinyou, wherever you go.

宗祖日莲大圣人于《日女御前御返事》曰:

如斯供养御本尊之女人，现在招福，后生此御本尊立于左右前后，如闇时之灯，如于险难之处得强力，彼此周围，此之附近，必围绕保护日女御前也。
