Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Recorded Lectures”:
Ultimately, the vow to save innumerable living beings is the most essential of the four universal vows. Now, the disciples and followers of Nichiren, fundamentally seek only to save all people by none other than Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《御讲闻书》曰:
总之，四弘誓愿中，众生无边誓愿度，乃肝要也。今日莲等类，以南无妙法莲华经度众生，此外无他也。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Selection of the Time”:
Therefore I say to you, my disciples try practising as the Lotus Sutra teaches, exerting yourselves without begrudging your lives! Test the truth of Buddhism!
宗祖日莲大圣人于《撰时抄》曰:
然则，我弟子等当试之，如法华经不惜身命修行，当试佛法矣。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon”:
A woman who devotes herself to the Gohonzon invites happiness in this life; and in the next, the Gohonzon will be with her and protect her always. Like a lantern in the dark, like a strong supporting arm on a treacherous path, the Gohonzon will protect you, Lady Nichinyou, wherever you go.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《日女御前御返事》曰:
如斯供养御本尊之女人，现在招福，后生此御本尊立于左右前后，如闇时之灯，如于险难之处得强力，彼此周围，此之附近，必围绕保护日女御前也。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “Rissho Ankoku-Ron”:
You must immediately renounce your erroneous belief and take faith in the supreme teaching of the one vehicle of the Lotus Sutra. Then, this entire threefold world will become the Buddha land. How could the Buddha land ever decline? All the lands in the ten directions will transform into treasure realms. How could a treasure realm ever fall into ruin? If the nation never declines and the land is indestructible, you will find security and peace of mind.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《立正安国论》曰:
汝当早改信仰之寸心，速归实乘之一善。然则三界皆佛国也。佛国其岂衰哉。十方悉宝土也，宝土其何坏哉。国无衰微，土无破坏，身是安全，心是禅定。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “Reply to Shijo Kingo”:
Accepting is easy, but continuing is difficult. But one must maintain one’s faith in order to attain Buddhahood.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《四条金吾殿御返事》曰:
受易持难，故成佛在于持也。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “The True Entity of All Phenomena”:
Strive forth in the two ways of practice and study. If practice and study are neglected, then Buddhism will cease to exist. You should practise for yourself and lead others to this teaching. Both practice and study originate from faith. You must propagate to others with all your might, even if it is only a single sentence or phrase.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《诸法实相抄》曰:
务必励行行学二道。行学若绝，不得有佛法矣。我亦致力，亦当教化他人。行学乃由信心起。若有力，即使一文一句，亦当为人言语矣。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “How Those Initially Aspiring to the Way Can Attain Buddhahood through the Lotus Sutra”:
One should by all means persist in preaching the Lotus Sutra, thus causing others to hear it. Those who put their faith in it will surely attain Buddhahood, while those who slander it will establish a “poison-drum relationship” with it and will likewise attain Buddhahood.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《法华初心成佛抄》曰:
总之，须强说法华经使其听闻。信者可成佛，谤者成毒鼓之缘，亦可成佛也。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “Reply to Lord Ueno”:
Even if you must endure some hardship for a while, your future happiness is assured.
宗祖日莲⼤圣⼈于《上野殿御返事》曰:
时之苦，终必成喜悦。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “On Itai Doshin”:
If itai doshin (many in body, one in mind) prevails among the people, they
will achieve all their goals, whereas in dotai ishin (one in body, different in mind), they can achieve nothing remarkable.
宗祖日莲⼤圣⼈于《异体同⼼事》曰:
若异体同⼼万事可成，同体异⼼诸事不成。
Nichiren Daishonin states in “The True Object of Worship (Kanjin no honzon-shō)”:
For those who are ignorant of ichinen sanzen, the Buddha manifests his great compassion, and infuses the jewel into the five characters of Myo-Ho-Ren-Ge-Kyo, and adorns the necks of the common mortals in the Latter Day of the Law.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《观心本尊抄》曰:
为不识一念三千者，佛起大慈悲，将此珠裹于五字之內， 悬于末代幼稚之颈矣
