Nichiren Daishonin states in “Offerings to the Object of Worship”:
A bird that approaches Mount Sumeru will turn to gold. And the agada medicine renders poison into medicine. The same is true for the mystery of the Lotus Sutra. It turns common mortals into Buddhas.
宗祖日莲大圣人于《本尊供养御书》曰:
近须弥山之鸟成金色也。阿伽陀药能变毒为药。法华经之不可思议亦复如是。令凡夫成佛。
