Nichiren Daishonin states in “Letter to Soya-nyūdo”:

The Nirvana Sutra states, “Within, there are disciples who understand the immeasurably deep doctrine. Without, there are pure-minded lay believers. Thus, Buddhism is perpetuated into eternity.”

宗祖日莲大圣人于《曾谷入道殿许御书》曰:

涅槃经云：“内有弟子解甚深之义，外有清静檀越令佛法久住。”
